This episode is a discussion about projects we have worked on. We share how we pick the projects, themes, and materials we bring together to create our products. We also discuss the role of flow and synergy in working together and the importance of keying off each other’s strength, listening and productive criticism.

  • What is worth saving - seeing past the damage and if you can save or recondition it

  • Evaluating the structural integrity

  • Vision and feeling of what you want the result to be

  • Aphantasia - the inability to form mental images of objects that are not present

  • Knowing there is a constant learning process in how refurbished reacts to paint and other materials - sometimes you need to start over a few times

  • Making your house an industrial manufacturing space and keeping peace with the neighbors

  • Other don’t know your intention, let them be the judge of the piece

  • In the end we have saved hundreds of pounds of junk for going to the dump
